Where is the equipment rented?

The equipment is rented throughout Italy. The rental includes the free delivery within 48 hours of call. With the rental you will be provided with all the necessary training and guidance to be able to carry out the therapy in the most effective and comfortable way at home.

When to use Artromot k1?

Artromot k1 allows the mobilisation of the limb through a flexion-extension movement. It favours a rapid return to joint function and prevents stiffness. It improves the mechanical properties of damaged ligaments and stimulates lymphatic and blood circulation decreasing the risk of thrombosis and emboli.

In the post-operative phase, use will not entail no trauma or pain to the patient, Passive movement will offer a pleasant sensation at the joint in question and the stimulation of circulation will reduce swelling.

What are the contraindications of Artromot k1?

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, it is advisable to not use the Artromot k1 in case of:

• inflammatory reactions of the joint
• spastic paralysis
• unstable osteosynthesis

What is Astroscopy? When is Artromot k1 used?

L'arthroscopy is a widespread surgical procedure that allows surgery inside joints to examine or repair anatomical structures. Approximately 100,000 operations a year are performed in Italy, most of which involve knee, shoulder e elbow.

The arthroscope is a small instrument that is inserted into the joint through a small incision; an extremely clear view of the joint is provided by means of a monitor.

During a arthroscopy the surgeon operates through a series of high-precision and high-tech instruments, naturally in dedicated environments, appropriate equipment and specialised personnel.

The arthroscope is therefore the main method through which it is possible to 'navigate' within the joint. Surgical arthroscopy allows an accurate and direct view of the ligament structure and a functional assessment of the biomechanics 'in vivo'.

In the case of an arthrotic knee, arthroscopy can assume a primary role and allows the orthopaedic surgeon to have a direct view of the articular cartilage.

Post-surgical recovery time is estimated at about two months. In the first rehabilitation phase comes, as a rule, prescribed Artromot k1.

2. Products and availability

All products visible on the site are accurately described. However, we cannot guarantee that the images displayed are fully representative of the actual features.
Product availability is constantly updated, but may change in real time.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in Euro, including VAT where applicable.
MIA MEDICAL ITALIA accepts the following payment methods:

• Credit/debit card
• Advance bank transfer
• Marking (where applicable)

The order will only be processed after receipt of payment (except cash on delivery).

4. Shipping and delivery

Delivery times vary between 2 and 5 working days, except in cases of force majeure.
Shipping is free where specified and only in Rome and Florence for devices requiring specific installation, otherwise it costs between €10 and €20.
Any delays cannot be attributed directly to MIA MEDICAL ITALIA, but to the couriers in charge.

5. Exclusion of Liability for Non-Delivery or Withdrawal

MIA MEDICAL ITALY shall not be liable in the event of non-delivery or delay due to:

• Absence of the addressee at the given address, even in the case of delivery agreed with the courier company;
• Incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer;
• Failure on the part of the customer, at the time of delivery, to indicate 'acceptance with reservation'on the receipt or on the courier's PDA in the event of a damaged or suspect parcel.

In such cases, any costs for storage, redelivery or new shipment shall be borne by the customer.

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure his or her presence at the agreed delivery time and to check the integrity of the package before accepting it. In the absence of 'acceptance with reservation', it will not be possible to open claims for transport damage.

6. Product Damaged on Delivery

The customer is obliged to check the condition of the outer packaging upon delivery. In the presence of visible anomalies (damaged, wet, opened package, etc.), it is mandatory to sign with "ACCEPT WITH RESTRICTION".specifying the reason (e.g. 'damaged packaging').

If the customer accepts delivery without reservation and subsequently reports damage to the device, MIA MEDICAL ITALIA disclaims all liabilitysince the damage cannot be imputed with certainty to the transport.

Any damage not visible at the time of delivery must be reported by email to [email protected] no later than 48 hours after receipt of the product, enclosing photos and a detailed description of the problem.

After that time, no complaints or replacement requests for transport damage can be accepted.

7. Right of withdrawal and returns

Pursuant to Legislative Decree 206/2005 (Consumer Code), the customer has the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days from the date of receipt of the product, without giving reasons.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal:

In accordance with Art. 59 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply in the case of rental of medical devicesas it is provision of services relating to the supply of goods that are customised or clearly intended for a specific and urgent usefor which the law does not provide a right of withdrawal.

General Conditions for Withdrawal (Purchase of Goods):

• The product must be undamaged, unused and returned in its original packaging.
• Sealed items that have been opened or used (e.g. disposable or skin contact devices) cannot be returned.
• The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.

Withdrawal procedure (only for non-excluded purchases):

1. Send a written communication to:[email protected]indicating the order number and the reason for return.
2. After authorisation, you will receive instructions on how to proceed.
3. The refund will be made within 14 days of receipt and verification of the returned product.

8. Security deposit for equipment rental

For the rental of medical devices, MIAMEDICAL ITALIA requires a security deposit the amount of which varies depending on the type of equipment rented. The amount of the deposit is communicated upon confirmation of the order.

Deposit Conditions:

• The deposit is mandatory and must be paid before the device is shipped.
• It is fully returned within 4 working days the return of the device, subject to technical verification.
• The technical inspection is carried out by our competent department to ensure that the equipment is intact, functional and complete with all accessories.

In case of damage, tampering, lack of accessories or abnormal wear of the device, MIAMEDICAL ITALIA reserves the right to retain part or the entire amount of the depositby notifying the customer in writing.

9. Legal Guarantees

All products sold are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity provided for in Articles 128-135 of the Consumer Code.
In the event of a defective or non-conforming product, MIA MEDICAL ITALIA undertakes to replace or refund.

10. Limitation of liability

MIA MEDICAL ITALIA shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from improper use of the products sold or from causes not directly attributable to the company.

11. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Conditions are governed by Italian law.
For any dispute the competent court shall be the court of the place of residence or domicile of MIA MEDICAL ITALIA SRL.
